This thin cultivar ' Columnaris Aurea' has yellow to green leaves and is conical in shape. It has spreading branches leading to sprayed foliage that is somewhat scaly. The buds and cones are small. This plant enjoys low humidity and cooler weather. C. lawsoniana, syn. Cupressus lawsoniana, a narrowly columnar, coniferous tree that has spreading branches leading to sprayed foliage that is somewhat scaly. Female cones are wrinkled, reddish brown and sometimes glaucous. Male cones are a bluish black in bud. The buds and cones are small. This plant enjoys low humidity and cooler weather.
Important Info : Does not like a lot of pruning. Native to North America. Aslo known as cv. 'Golden Spire'.
